More and more Italians are struggling to make ends meet despite having a job, especially young people, women, and immigrants. This reality helps explain much of today\u2019s youth distress. While unemployment at least offers the hope of escaping poverty by finding work, realizing that even a paycheck cannot cover basic needs creates deep frustration.
